When Ruth marries Robert Dowland, she has no idea the impact Robert’s first wife, Madeline, has on everyone’s life. Ruth must prove her worth to long time housekeeper, Mrs. Billy, and overcome all the vivid memories of Madeline, as well as make friends with those who talk about Madeline as if she were still alive. By accident, Ruth finds Madeline’s journal and she and Mrs. Billy uncover the truth about Madeline’s death. Together, they set off a chain of events to set things right.

Positive Message October 2, 2009
Reviewer: Babs2009 from Southfield, MI United States
The author demonstrated that you can exact revenge by doing good.  In a surprising twist, the story takes you on an emotional ride, first, you feel sorry for Ruth, then you love her for being so compassionate and then you're concerned that she has gone over the edge and then in the end you know true love prevails.  Great story.

I prefer 3.5 stars August 22, 2009

This is good, good, good! It exemplifies how a wise person can take an unfortunate situation and turn it to her personal advantage. The characters were interesting and entertaining.

Voice actor, Gale Van Cott, did a really good job with Mrs. Billy.
